- High Heel Sprint in Russia

Honestly, communism was never the best of plans, was it? What more evidence to you need than the fact that it's taken so long for something as superb as the high-heel sprint to come into existence. Could have happened decades sooner. This is just plain excellent, and unbelievable. These women are really motoring:

Some Russians, yesterday

'That winner gal - she runs liek (sic) a pro, stilettos or not' notes a Garmao, quite correctly on Youtube. Indeed, Garmao goes on to note that the winning time, allegedly 12 seconds, is a respectable one for a competitor in any kind of footwear, a sentiment echoed by BlackValkyire.

Having been a bit of a runner myself before the beer took its toll, I have to say that I'm impressed by what I see here, and am glad that this seems set to become an annual event.
